Heidelberg Apartment Close to Hospitals - 105

Positive: Good location close to Austin hospital. Negative: Couch was very uncomfortable, fans in shower and toilet did not work. Bedrooms very small.

Positive: Good location. Close to highways and main roads. Walking distance to a few small cafes. Easy access for secure parking. Communication with Dave was OK - he was responsive (we weren't given the lockbox code, or towels, however he responded to our queries within a reasonable timeframe). Dishwasher and washing machine tablets provided so this was convenient. Beds were OK, however bedrooms were small. Negative: Whilst the apartment was reasonably clean on the inside, the entire apartment building smelled and felt damp/humid. The sofa(bed) was very worn and uncomfortable to sit on, and the small shelving unit behind it had nails and splinters coming out of it. The bathroom is cramped. The shower door must be closed before the bathroom door can be open. Upon arrival we did not have towels, so we had to wait around 3 hours before they were dropped off outside the apartment building.

Positive: An excellent location for our purpose. Negative: The location was excellent, however, the apartment had not been properly cleaned when we arrived, and the vacuum cleaner provided was broken. We contacted the caretaker, but they were unable to assist immediately with cleaning the apartment. As a result, we had to go into town to purchase a new vacuum cleaner and clean the entire apartment ourselves. We did receive a refund for the vacuum cleaner we purchased and for the cleaning we carried out. Nevertheless, we were very unhappy with the dirty condition of the apartment on arrival and with being informed that professional cleaning would not be possible until the following day.
